What is Resident Involvement
Who is Midsummer looking for?
We are looking for at least 50 residents who are willing to be consulted. We are particularly keen for residents who may be poorly represented, so we welcome applications from residents from black and ethnic minority groups, people with disabilities, and those receiving supported housing services.
How do I get involved?
It’s up to you – you can decide how you want to be involved from the following:
- Joining one of our residents’ panels.
- Completing postal questionnaires
- Having interviews in your home
- Completing a questionnaire or survey over the telephone
- Attending group meetings either in your local community or at Midsummer’s offices
- Get trained up as a ‘Mystery Shopper’
How often will I be contacted?
Again, this is up to you – you can choose frequency of contact from a minimum of 4 times a year, to a maximum of 12.
What will I be asked?
This is your choice too – you may wish to be consulted on all decisions that affect the service you receive, or you may be only interested in certain areas. For example, you may choose to comment only on the repairs service.
How do I apply to get involved?
Please contact Hannah de-Main on 01908 544757 or by e-mailing
hannah.de_main@midsummer.org. We will then send an application form to you with a letter explaining what happens next. If you would just like some more information at this stage, Hannah will be happy to answer your questions.
