Fun(d) for all the Community!

 

Midsummer Housing Association is getting in to the community spirit with the launch of its new Community Development Fund. 

 

The Fund offers grants, normally ranging from £500 to £1,000, to groups, agencies or individuals who want to make a difference in their local community.

 

 “Through this grant we want to help new projects get off the ground and make sure that existing successful projects do not have to close because of a lack of money,“ says Dave Willis, Director of Housing & Marketing at Midsummer.

 

 “We have ideas about how the money may get used; for example, funding for resident associations, play schemes, community safety and training and education projects, but we want to hear from anyone with an idea!”  

 

Dave Willis went on to say; “We are looking for any innovative and practical projects that clearly demonstrate an added benefit to our residents and the areas they live in.”
