Midsummer Residents visit the Big Brother Diary Room

Sunday 5 August proved to be a fun day for all the family, as Midsummer put on their third annual day dedicated to their residents. Even the sun came out to play!

As well as all the usual bouncy castles, face painting and refreshments, the housing association used innovative measures to capture feedback from their residents, including a ‘Big Brother Diary Room’, a Midsummer Monopoly board and a Midsummer Mystery game – thankful devoid of any midsummer murders!

There was football skills training from one of MK Don’s community coaches, as well as basketball fun from representatives of MK Lions. Music and entertainment was also provided, along with a demonstration from local cheerleaders.

Lots of residents also chose to give something back to the community on the day, as they brought tinned and packet food donations for one of MK’s Food Banks.

Chief Executive of Midsummer, Maggie Sherlock, was delighted at the success of the day, and said:

“It was great to see over 350 of our residents come along and join us for the day, especially as some travelled from High Wycombe, Bedford, Northampton and other surrounding towns to be there.”

“We got lots of great feedback from our residents and we shall use this to further improve the services that we provide to everyone.”
