Connaught nail Midsummer's repairs contract - second time running
After a thorough OJEU tendering process, integrated service provider Connaught Partnerships Ltd has been awarded the £1.8million per year contract with Midsummer.
Commencing in April 2007, it is the second consecutive long-term partnering agreement that Connaught has entered into with us, this time for ten years.
On the subject of the renewed contract, Deputy Chief Executive at Midsummer, Dave Willis said:
“The last five years have proved that working in an open and honest partnership can be very successful. Now, through the tendering process, Connaught has demonstrated that they can take our customer service to an even higher level.”
“With our strong joint customer-focused approach we have outlined, and will continue to seek, ways that we can cut costs on administration in order to invest more in delivering our services – direct improvements that our residents will see through more flexible appointments, quicker response times and a generally more efficient service.
A recent customer survey of Midsummer tenants showed that 98.14% of them are satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of our repairs service, provided in partnership with Connaught.
Commenting on Connaught’s successful re-tender of the Midsummer contract, Area Director John Lewthwaite said,
“Midsummer Housing Association is more than a key client. Over the last five years we have grown and developed together as we have refined and developed our partnering service to its current level. The most encouraging thing is that everyone, tenants, client and provider, see this not as the end of a process but the start of a new and exciting opportunity that will take us all to higher levels of service.”
