Midsummer homes commended for being amongst the most innovative in the country!

Midsummer Housing Association was delighted to receive a special commendation in the Evening Standard New Homes Awards on 9 May, this year.

 

Our 85-home development at Medbourne was said by TV personality Emma Forbes to ‘incorporate energy efficiency measures that far exceed current - or anticipated - industry standards’ as it scooped a special commendation in the Innovation award category.

 

The judges said: “The builders have taken into account the needs of everyone, and have been willing to give things a try if they think there is a chance it will make [residents] lives’ better. Everything about it is innovative.”

 

Midsummer’s Business Development Director, Penny Downing, was at the lunchtime ceremony to collect the award:

“It is fantastic for one of Midsummer’s developments to receive such notable recognition. As a responsible housing provider and landlord, we try to do so much more than just build houses, and our EcoHomes Excellent scheme at Medbourne is a great example of that.”
