Working in partnership
As a major employer and investor in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, Midsummer is a key player in the communities in which it works, but recognises that it can often be most effective where it works in partnership with other agencies, ensuring that social, economic and environmental issues are addressed in a holistic way.
Midsummer works with a range of partners, including local authorities, English Partnerships, the Housing Corporation and a variety of local statutory and voluntary organisations.
Examples include:
- Midsummer Skills – a partnership with Milton Keynes College, providing basic educational training within local communities.
- Wolverton Foyer – The Milton Keynes Christian Foundation manages this 16-bed space Foyer on behalf of Midsummer, providing essential life skills training for young people.
- The Atlas Project – Midsummer’s strategic partnering team that brings together contractors, architects, cost consultants to build and maintain our homes, whilst focusing on innovation, reducing waste and improving quality and resident satisfaction.
